Once every 3 months we will need at least 8-10 money counters for about three hours, but the more people we have the less time it will take! Each month we will need 24 volunteers to run our Healthy Hot Lunch Day. It is a great way to spend special time in your child’s classroom.
-
Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator or write your contact information at the bottom of your order form. Please write clearly or we may not be able to contact you to confirm. Email is our preferred communication with volunteers, however we are able to call.
What if my child has Dietary Restrictions ?
We strive to be aware of the many dietary requirements and provide a variety of food options. It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that food products are safe for their child(ren) with specific food allergies or other dietary needs. Please contact Tracy Zeisberger 250-544-1744 or khasa63@gmail.com, should you require contact information for any of the products. We also hope to provide links to our suppliers on our website in the coming months.
- The Hot Lunch Program takes place once a month, usually on the last Friday.
- Dates are listed on your Keating Fridge Magnet
- * Important: Each child must have a separate form and cheque including their division number. For example: One cheque can be written for one child for October, November and December.
- We are unable to process orders after the due date on the order form. The food orders and shopping need to be done weeks in advance.
- Payment Options:
Cheque is the preferred option, and is easier on our amazing volunteers!
Cheques can be made payable to KHASA.
Cash, only correct amount please - no change will be given. - If you forget to preorder there will be items for sale at "The Store" where your child can purchase Hot Lunch in the multipurpose room. Please be aware we can not guarantee there will be enough items so pack a bagged lunch.
- *Parents: The Store will only be open at 11:40am for parents and students, if you are unable to be there at 11:40 please send money with your child.
- The best way to ensure we will have what you want is to preorder.
- Return your order and payment to your child's classroom.
- If you lose your order form they are available at the school office and on the website!
- You will notice prices of some food items have increased due to the raising cost of gas and to provide healthier choices.
- Please remember the Hot Lunch Program is optional. Your family may chose
to participate by purchasing: a full lunch, a few items and bring the some
items from home, or not at all.
